How The Die Casting Machines Work?
Different low pressure die casting machines also work in different ways. The following content introduces the working mode of common automatic die casting machine.
The cold chamber of this kind of pneumatic die casting machine is placed vertically. Its upper punch is located above the cold chamber. Its lower punch is located at the nozzle of the hydraulic die casting machine to prevent liquid metal from flowing into the nozzle when it is poured into the cold chamber. The rotor die casting machine works as follows:
First, the metal button die casting machine will close the mold. The liquid metal is then poured into the cold chamber by manual or other means. The upper punch moves down into the cold chamber at a low speed. When the upper punch touches the liquid level of the metal liquid, it stops moving. After that, the upper punch will continue to move down at a higher speed, while the lower punch will also move down at the same speed. The movement of the two punches is synchronous and there will be a distance between them. When the punch moves down to the nozzle, it stops moving. At this point, the upper punch will continue to move down and squeeze the metal liquid with the lower punch, and the metal liquid will be ejected from the nozzle at high speed. The metal liquid passes through the straight sprue which is composed of gate, spruebush, taper hole of fixed die and splitter, and then enters the mold from the inner gate.
After filling, the upper punch will continue to exert a certain pressure on the liquid metal until the metal liquid inside the mold is completely solidified and becomes a die casting. The liquid metal in the sprue and cold chamber will solidify into straight gate and oddment respectively. After that, the upper punch will move upward to reset. At the same time, the lower punch will also move upward and cut off the oddment connected to the straight gate. Then the lower punch will continue to move up and push the oddment out of the cold chamber. After that, the oddment will be removed manually or by other means. Then, the lower punch will move down to reset, and then block the nozzle mouth.
Finally, open the die of 3000 ton die casting machine, and then take out the die casting and straight gate. Once the oddment and the straight gate are separated, the die opening action can be executed immediately. No matter whether the lower punch is reset or not, the hot chamber die casting machine can perform the die opening action.
