What Is the Difference between the Top Stop and the Bottom Stop of Different Zippers?

For standard plastic zippers with one way open end, the bottom stop consists of an insertion box and pin. Even if the pin is not inserted into the insertion box, the zipper puller will be blocked by the insertion box and will not fall.

For plastic or metal zippers with two way open end, its bottom stop consists of a mobile pin and a fixed pin.

For two way close end zippers, both sides of the double slider zipper are fixed on the chain. Even if the zipper slides to the bottom of the chain, the two pins will block the zipper to prevent it from falling off. The waterproof zipper usually consists of two sliders, which are mounted on the same chain. The two sliders are installed on the chain head to head. When you slide these two sliders to the top of the chain, they will be blocked by the top stop. When you want to open the zipper, you need to slide one of the two sliders and slide it to the position of the other slider. When you want to close the long chain zipper, you just need to pull one slider and pull it away from the other.

How the top stops and bottom stops are installed depends on the type of nylon zippers and the applications. Most of them have the same functions, but some of them have some special functions, and some of them can only be paired with a certain type of zipper.
